Not too busy, yet not too quiet. Temple City is surrounded by shops, markets, and delectable local restaurants. The city has three elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school that is nationally ranked in the top 3% with teachers ranked in the top 1.6% in the United States. The renowned 626 Night Market is held at the Santa Anita Racetrack right next to the Westfield Santa Anita Mall, both less than a ten-minute car ride away. The Public Library sits right next to City Hall and a park where the city’s Performing Arts Pavilion is located, and where the community hosts its annual Concerts in the Park series and Lights on Temple City. These iconic locations all lie in the center of the city on Las Tunas Drive, where the annual Camellia Festival Parade is held. The festival features local performing youth groups and Royal Court, art and talent shows, musicians from surrounding cities who march in the parade, and a fun-filled weekend of carnival activities.
